Not at first anyway. When you are brainstorming in a group, it's important to pool all your ideas without censorship. It's for two reasons.

1. A wacky idea might inspire someone to think of a better idea later - maybe the opposite or a scaled-down version.
2. When our ideas are judged right away they tend to stop coming.

Groups are not as efficient at brainstorming as the same number of people thinking alone. Some group members dominate, and judging other's contributions is one way to do it. Some people become loafers - and having your ideas put down is a powerful incentive to switch off.

Instead, pool every idea, try not to 'own' them. Then explore them all of them by asking, 'How could we make that more useful or practical or focused on our problem?' Select those that fit best.
