After you have imagined what success will look like, consider what you don’t like about the way things are. You need to create a contrast between the way things are now and how life will be once you have achieved the goal. Write them down – both of them. Review and revise them regularly.

Here's an outstanding book. If you want your ideas to stick, read Chip Heath and Dan Heath’s book. It’s full of sticky examples.

He has written six books and more than a hundred articles on psychology and writing. International research journals have published his articles reviewing the research on resilience.
